Excursion Itinerary

On arrival at Hamad International Airport, meet our representative and proceed to enjoy your buffet breakfast. Later, embark on a guided tour covering some of the best highlights of Doha City. Start with a visit to the Old Port of Doha (Mina District), a picturesque neighbourhood with quaint cobbled streets and pastel-coloured buildings, where you can spot cruise ships docking and explore a vibrant fish market. Next is Box Park, one of the trendiest destinations in Qatar, where shipping containers are repurposed into colourful shopping and dining outlets, making it a photogenic and Instagram-friendly spot.

Continue towards Katara Cultural Village, passing the Doha Corniche, a scenic waterfront promenade, and the Westbay district, home to the iconic skyscrapers often featured in postcards of Doha. Upon arrival at Katara, visit some of the city’s iconic landmarks, including the Katara Blue Mosque, renowned for its stunning Persian and Turkish tile work, and the Pigeon Towers, unique structures designed for pigeon nesting. You’ll also explore the Amphitheatre, a classical Greek-style venue with Islamic influences that seats 5,000 spectators.

Next, stroll along 21 High Street, a luxury shopping destination, where you can admire the ultra-luxe atmosphere, cooled by a state-of-the-art outdoor system. Enjoy your buffet lunch (13.00 – 14.00)
Restart your travel by visiting the National Museum of Qatar, interconnected galleries take visitors on a visual journey through Qatar, telling the story of the country, from the pre-historic to the modern era. Designed by Pritzker Prizewinning architect Jean Nouvel, the National Museum of Qatar draws inspiration from and recreates the naturally occurring crystal formations known as the desert rose where you will get a best travel experience.
We will also pass by one of the
FIFA World Cup stadiums for a quick photo stop (from outside the gate). The 974 Stadium – was designed by Fenwick Iribarren Architects.[4][5] Constructed on a 450,000 square-metre (111-acre) waterfront site, it had a modular design and incorporated 974 recycled shipping containers in homage to the site’s industrial history and the international dialling code for Qatar 974 Finally visit the most famous Souq Waqif, the old trading market, on the banks of the Wadi Musheireb. With its muddaubed buildings, the market harkens to a bygone era while remaining a hub of activity, where commerce and gossip collide. Visit the Spice Market, the spot for exotic Arabic aromatics like saffron, zater, sumac, dried flowers, dried black lemons, and endless varieties of, dates honey, tea leaves and coffee beans. Visit to the Falcon Souq, where you can see the majestic birds up close and, under the shopkeeper’s watchful eye, pose with a falcon perched on your arm. Pass by the Camel pen near the Falcon Souq to see these doe-eyed creatures, or wander to the Emiri Stables where beautiful Arabian horses hold sway in between taking the heritage police on their daily rounds of the souq. Besides that, the
souq is quite popular for its variety of restaurants, everything from samosas and stuffed vine leaves to meat stews and sweet dumplings, Makhboos (
traditional rice dish) fahsa (slowcooked meat stew in claypots) eaten in traditional style sitting on the floor at Bander Aden, and the scrumptious kunafas and baklavas at Al Aker Sweets. The Excursion ends with a transfer back to HIA Aiport.
